Description
Ostarine, also known as Enbosarm or MK-2866, is an orally active and highly bioavailable Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator (SARM).
Initially proposed to treat muscle wasting and osteoporosis, it is currently the most widely researched SARM of all, with multiple ongoing clinical trials.
As with other compounds in this group, like RAD-140, Ostarine use will avoid many of the inherent pitfalls associated with the use of anabolic steroids and prohormones, such as prostate issues, acne, hair loss and gynecomastia, as it is only a weak agonist or even antagonist of the androgen receptor (AR) in other androgen-sensitive tissues.
Through their specific interaction with the AR in muscle, all SARMS can still temporarily impact natural testosterone levels to a degree during and slightly after use, with levels generally normalizing within a couple of weeks of discontinued use provided sensible cyclic use is adhered to, with this being kept relatively short (4-8 weeks) to allow full recovery between cycles.
Being milder than compounds like RAD-140, Ostarine is known to have lower potential for side effects like this or any other, mainly due to its lower androgenic properties.
