Description
Cardarine (GW501516) is often incorrectly referred to as a SARM, sharing some anabolic and fat burning properties with these compounds and having risen to prominence at around the same time (although developed back in the early nineties).
Also known as Endurabol, it is actually a PPAR-delta (Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptor Delta) receptor agonist, -PPARs are transcription factors expressed in adipose tissue, liver, skin, brain and muscle that are important for metabolic homeostasis.
As a synthetic delta receptor agonist, Cardarine can specifically regulate lipid and lipoprotein metabolism (fat oxidation), mitochondrial respiration/biogenesis, skeletal muscle reprogramming (including hypertrophy and endurance!!!), brown fat thermogenesis, inflammation and wound healing.
The potential benefits to athletes and bodybuilders were immediately obvious; cross-fitters, runners and MMA enthusiasts have hailed increased stamina and performance, whilst cycling with SARMS has taken workouts, poundage’s and results to new heights for bodybuilders and strength athletes.
In one study, a simultaneous anabolic effect yielded an increase in lean mass of 1.3kg in users at just 10mg/day for 12 weeks (accompanied by an increase in HDL cholesterol levels of 17% and a drop in LDL by 7%!). However, the most conventional use of Cardarine has remained the retention of muscle mass whilst enhancing subcutaneous and visceral fat loss, presenting a leaner, harder more defined appearance.
Further reasons to stack Cardarine with SARMS include the improved glycogen storage (fuller muscles) and insulin sensitivity and its cardioprotective properties, with that pronounced positive effect on cholesterol levels, -common sense in ANY cycle.
- Jitter-free Fat loss/muscle preservation
- Hypertrophy
- Muscle endurance
- Improved glycogen storage/insulin sensitivity
- Does not suppress testosterone
- No virilization in women
- Significantly improves cholesterol levels
- Stacks well with RAD-140, MK-677 and YK-11
